Following the recent announcement of our new coaching director, Gary “Willo” Wilson, and the re-appointments of Sue Emery and Chris Riley as coaches of the Womens Non-Contact and Mens Over 55s teams respectively, the Eastern Warriors are now seeking expressions of interest for the role of Head Coach for each of the Mens Over 35s and Over 50s for season 2026.
If you or someone you know is interested in applying for either of these roles, please send a formal expression of interest to admin@warriorsmastersfc.com.au by no later than December 3rd, 2025. The selection panel will be headed by Willo and any appointment ratified by the committee.
The club would sincerely like to thank Lou Saunders for coaching the Mens Over 35s for 2024 and 2025, with two wins in 2024 breaking a years long drought, and Eddie Ralph who stepped in to coach the Over 50s in 2025, with a memorable victory in the final round to finish on a high. Both are life members of the Eastern Warriors and deserve the utmost respect for standing up to coach during a challenging season for on-field performance, with retirements and injuries impacting both teams.
