Join us this Sunday at Edinburgh Reserve, Springvale (2:45pm) to celebrate our mate Pete Phan’s 150th career game.
Lil Pete has played across a number of senior clubs including the Southern Dragons, Dingley, Keysborough, Dandenong West, Sandown Cobras and the mighty Warriors. His speed and ability to move sideways makes him elusive. Add his natural goal sense and you have yourself a very dangerous player!
While the Warriors have had a tough few years on the field, it’s people like Pete that make the club a great place to be.

Matches this weekend – players wanted!
We’re looking for players for all teams this weekend, with the women trekking to Mornington and both Mens Over 35s and Over 50s playing at home this weekend. The 50s are short but so are the visiting team Bayside, who have to spread across their 45s team playing elsewhere, so it’s a great opportunity for the Warriors Over 50s to take it up to a top team but we need men! Let your coaches know if you can play, the women are on at 9.30am Saturday and the Over 50s are on at 12.45pm Sunday at Edinburgh Reserve, followed by the Over 35s at 2.45pm. 
We still need a timekeeper also for the Over 50s so let Grant know if you can assist on 0407 861 795.

Appreciation Night
This week, Appreciation Night celebrated and recognised the great work of the Warriors coaches and support crew. Thanks to Kenny, Renata, Lou and Louise for supplying delicious pasta and tiramisu for dessert, and to Flea for helping run the kitchen. Congrats to Jules for winning the meat tray supplied by Bruisa! Was great to see so many attending.

End of Season Footy Trip
As announced at training, the End of Season footy trip is back by popular demand!!We have booked 4 cabins at the Torquay Foreshore caravan park (conveniently located across the road from the Torquay Pub) for the 17th to 19th October.The cost for accommodation in a shared room is $220 or for a bedroom on your own is $330. Additional costs will be for food and drinks, and possibly a bus if there is sufficient demand for it.
We are planning to have either an AFl9s game or a normal game, hopefully against Geelong, on the Saturday. Also a BBQ after check out on the 19th October.
